The camel in the photo, was a curious, quartz-type rock, imbedded in a big, eroded, chunk of limestone. Origionally, the camel was a distasteful yellow color--which got changed to green and red for the Christmas holidays. It looks like he has a big wad of chewing tobacco, in his cheek--ready to spit if someone starts talking about chasing stars, again.

The Story of the Camel in the photo, is that he belonged to one of the Christian Bible's Three Wise Men. And, as a result, it now feels like it has been on one-too-many religious quests. The camels had been told that the child Jesus was going to save the world, and that the camels would be greatly honored, if they could follow that star and find him. And find him, they did. ..only to hear later, that the king, Herod, had killed all the two year-old boys in the land, for all of their toil and trouble. ..so he isn't falling for any more religious expeditions, anymore.    Jesus never did do much for the fate of the Camels, so this one is a bit Jaded. ..but at least he isn't baby-diaper yellow, anymore!
